Skiddaw

Overview

Our Skiddaw apartment was used by Beatrix Potter as a studio in the late 1890s, one of her pieces “The Rain” was the view from the bedroom window, a space where she also painted her pet rabbit in front of the fireplace.

These days Skiddaw is a popular apartment that sleeps four in two bedrooms. The main double bedroom has views over the front lawn and the second room with a view over Skiddaw can be a twin or super king.

Set on the second floor in the eaves of the house, Skiddaw has a spacious lounge with dining table has a great view of the mountain of the same name. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower over bath.

Skiddaw is on the top floor of the main house across the landing from Borrowdale apartment; they can be booked as a pair to suit larger groups holidaying together.
